This is our movie that we made to introduce our school.

Before this morning, we had no idea what UNESCO was... All we knew was that it was an opportunity. We have to apply to join by writing an application outlining these questions-

What is UNESCO?
Why is UNESCO important?
Why do I want to be a part of it?

We were also lucky enough to meet Deli, who is the National Co-ordinator for ASPNet schools. She talked to us about how UNESCO belongs to us and we discussed ways that we could make an impact with our group.

Here are some of the applications from the girls in Year 6.

To celebrate International Peace Day the UNESCO Committee worked with the Junior school asking them; "What does peace mean to you?" The children decided that peace was about friendship and caring. They drew pictures of peace and stuck them on our board.

At lunchtime the children went out and made this movie of the examples of friendship and peace that they saw on the playground.
